Quint Nathaniel Irby, 54, was born July 2, 1962 in Topeka, Kansas to Vernon N. and Haroldlene R. Irby. He was educated in the public schools of Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Topeka High School.
Quint was affectionately known as, “Que,” and used this nickname to brand his sole proprietorship, “Que’s Street Performance, an A-1 Quality Auto Shop. He was widely known as a High Quality Mechanic. There wasn’t much of anything Que didn’t know about cars and how to keep them running in “tip top shape!” He was a lover of cars and didn’t care who knew it. He also enjoyed racing them and could be found on the Speedway getting his adrenaline rush!
Although Quint never married, he was blessed with two beautiful children to carry on his legacy. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church under the tutelage of Rev. John Brooks.
He departed this life on Sunday, November 13, 2016. Two of his dear friends, Frank Savory III and Kevin Wilkins preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Steven Irby-Harris; a daughter, Juanika Wall; parents, Vernon N. and Haroldlene R. Irby; one sister, Staci Irby; three grandchildren, JahVell Hutton, JahLeil Hutton and Jrue Hutton and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1700 Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Brooks, Officiating. Burial XII Gates Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Missouri.
