November 5, 1964 – November 11, 2016

Jettie Mae Lee, was born in Reedville, Arkansas at her family home on November 5, 1964 to the union of James and Willie Lee. She was the second of six children.

As we all know, “Punkin,” as she was affectionately called, was a Christian and she loved Jesus. She attended Friendship Faith Ministries, under the leadership of Apostle LeRoy McConico.

Punkin attended school in both Kansas City, Kansas and Oakland, California. She drove the bus for E.O.F. Head Start for twenty (20) years until they closed. She also drove for the Piper School District until 2015.

Punkin was blessed with three beautiful daughters, Aireosha Iyanhna, Tierra Lashay, and Britney Ne΄Cole. She enjoyed shopping and she loved her friends and family. Punkin was the one who always wanted to have parties for the holidays. She loved decorating and nice things.

Punkin had a bubbly, vibrant personality and always had a nickname for everyone. When she came into a room, everyone knew she was there. She impacted so many lives.

Punkin lost her battle with cancer on Friday, November 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandmothers, three step-parents and one brother.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters, Aireosha Lee, Tierra Lee, and Britney Suttington; father, James Lee; mother, Willie Williams; six sisters, Jacqueline Crooks, Brenda Lee (Charles), Billie Shackleton (George), LaVera Williams, Norma Lee-Brown, and Charlene Lee; eleven grandchildren, Semaj, James III, Jaah, Janases, Airen, Saniyah, Salenah, Prince, Jewel, Dayton, and       Bella; Godmother, Gwen Lindsey; two God-given sisters, Deborah Thompson, Stephanie White; Spiritual mother, Brenda Bell; special friends and the god-parents of her children, Stanley & Rachel Walker, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Open Door Baptist Church, 3033 North 103rd Terrace, Kansas City, Kansas 66109 at 12:00 p.m. with Apostle LeRoy McConico, Officiating. Private Disposition.
