RENOIL SIMPKINS, JR.
April 17, 1953 - December 31, 2016
Renoil Simpkins, Jr., 63, was born on April 17, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri to Renoil and Luvenia Simpkins. Renoil Jr. was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Southeast High School. While attending high school, he also attended vocational school where he learned his Electrical Trade. Upon finishing high school, he received his Diploma and also became a licensed electrician, which he practiced until his death.
Mr. Simpkins was affectionately known as, “Jr.”, “Dough Boy”, and “The Electrician.” He helped train many young men in his field and will be forever remembered for his wisdom and love of the trade.
He departed this walk of life on Saturday, morning, December 31, 2016. His mother, Luvenia Hindsman, father, Renoil Simpkins, Sr., oldest son, Derrick Lamont Davis and aunt, Lottie Wrice all preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Renoil Simpkins, III (Karissa); stepmother, Ida Mae Simpkins of Georgia; siblings, Bernard Smith (Yvette), Vanessa Hindsman, Donald Hindsman (Rachael) of California, Ronald Hindsman, Cassandra Weatherspoon, Deidra Estell, Amy Delores Minton, Amos Dwayne Hindsman (Deanna), Martha Henderson, Teresa Wells, Tina Thompson, Jacqueline Hindsman, Bryant Hindsman, Teresa Simpkins Dillard (Andre) of Georgia and Tracy Simpkins King (Radley) of Georgia; three other siblings, sister, Cheryl Thomas, brothers, Greg Williams and Ricky Tatum; grandsons, Derrick Lamont Davis, Jr. and Duran Stubbs, Jr., and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 4545 Benton Boulevard, Kansas City, Mo 64130. Visitation 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, Missouri. Arrangements by Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC.
