Alberta Jamerson

Alberta Jamerson was born October 14, 1964 in Kansas City, Kansas to Albert and Idella Jones Jamerson. She was the only child born to this union.

Alberta, better known as, “Freda” to everyone, was educated in the Kansas City, Kansas School District and graduated from F. L. Schlagle High School, class of 1983. After high school, Freda enrolled in Cosmetology College to pursue a career in Beauty & Well-Being. She obtained her Beautician’s License and worked from home building her cliental, and had a very successful business.

Freda worked several other jobs throughout her lifetime. She was promoted to a fulltime manager at “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City in 2007. She later accepted employment with the American Indian Center   as her health started to decline.

Fread was known for “Talking Stuff”, joking around,  telling her life stories, and just having a great sense of   humor. It was a joy to have known her, she was One of a Kind! With her confidence and strong personality, she was well liked and loved by many. She would surely put a smile on your face. She loved family barbeques, playing cards, watching movies, shopping online, and cooking. She was a good cook! We will definitely miss those meals and shared laughter!

Freda came along way and made many accomplishments. She also attended Bible Studies at Morning Star Baptist Church and helped with the food Pantry as needed.

Freda departed this life on Monday, December 26, 2022. Her parents preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her cousin and best friend, Cheryl Turner, and other family and friends to mourn her passing.
