Alice M. White

Alice Maewatha White AKA "Common Sense", died Thursday, April 17, 2025 (aged 93).

Born on June 28, 1931, in Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky, to Armedia (Dillard) and Jake Jordan, the youngest of five children, she joined Blooming Grove Baptist Church at an early age and attended Attucks High School.

After marrying and becoming an Air Force wife, she traveled to California, Berlin (Germany), Georgia, Oklahoma, and settled in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, siblings and youngest son, Ernie L. White.

Survivors include her husband of 70+ years,Richard L. White, Kansas City, MO; a son, Marlowe White, Gardena, CA; a daughter and her husband, Renita White Befekadu and Marion Piggee, Los Angeles, CA; a niece and nephew(s), Deloris Lowery and Lloyd Jordon, Norfolk, VA; Larry Jordon, Greensboro, NC; and a host of other "family" and friends.
