Andre Maurice Crockett, Jr. was born on July 23, 2003 to Tiffany Dionne Lewis and Andre Maurice Crockett, Sr., at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Andre was called home, by the Lord on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his residence.
Andre was the second to the oldest child of five children. Andre loved his siblings, Brylan, Drevon, Dionna and DeAndre. They held a “Family Bond” that could not be broken. They spent lots of “Family Bonding” times together.
Andre was very affectionate, caring, loving and giving. He would give you the shirt off his back. He always made his parents proud, and they were very optimistic of him, which motivated him to do better and accomplish his goals. They always showed him love, affection and apprecia-tion.
Andre attended both Kansas City Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools. In June of 2021, he graduated from Central High School, located in Kansas City, Missouri.
Andre was a member of Greater Pentecostal Temple in Kansas City, Kansas. He was baptized with the Holy Spirit by Bishop Marvin E. Donaldson. While attending Greater Pentecostal Temple, he became a Junior Usher.
Andre enjoyed doing many things. He loved “Family Gatherings”, with both sides of his family. If it was about family, Andre was, “The Family Guy”. He enjoyed Dining out, Playing the game(playstation), Going to the YMCA, Watching his favorite football team (K.C. Chiefs), Watching movies, Traveling, Having his daily talks with his MaMaw, and Going to work. He was one that you could always count on. He lived every day for peace and happiness. He did not like any dra-ma.
Andre was employed by UHAUL Fulfillment Center in Kansas City Missouri. He began work there, in August of 2021, where he continued working, until his passing. He was given a Trainer position 7 months into being hired on. Andre loved his job and he worked hard at whatever he did. He worked on the hitch team and he called his team, his “Extended Family”
His Supervisor, Lesseth – was aka Sister, Yasmin – was aka Sister, Nunila – was Aunt, Alfredo— was aka Uncle and Oscar was aka Grandpa. He would always have good things to say about each of them.
Andre was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Elnora Lewis, his maternal grandfather, Lesley Lewis Sr., both his paternal great grandparents, Carl Crockett, Sr. and Lovetta Crockett, Charles Norwood, Jr. and Maeola Norwood, seven uncles and three aunts.
Andre will always be greatly loved and truly missed. His spirit will live forever in our hearts. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Tiffany Dionne Lewis, K.C.,MO; father, Andre Maurice Crockett, Sr., K.C.,KS; three brothers, Brylan Damontre Coleman, Sr., K.C.,MO, Drevon Crockett, and DeAndre Crockett; one sister, Dionna Drenae Crockett all of Kansas City, MO; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Renee Lewis; paternal grandfather, David Crockett; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Valencia Norwood-Phiffer, all of Kansas City, KS; one nephew, Brylan Damontre Coleman, Jr.; one niece, Nyonna Coleman both of Kansas City,MO, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, church family, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 25, 2023, visitation will beheld from 9 A.M. - 11 A.M. with services beginning at 11 A.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., KCMO 64127.
