Angela Lea Flippin (Hampton)

Angela Lea Flippin, 52, formerly of Jamestown, MO passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. 

Angela was born on January 28, 1972 in Jefferson City, MO the daughter of David and Sherry (Martin) Hampton. She was united in marriage on October 3, 1992 at the United Church of Christ in California, MO to Mark Flippin. To this union, they had two sons, Kellan and Kamden. Though this marriage later ended, Mark and Angela remained friends, dedicated to their children’s well-being. Angela was a California High School graduate. She attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, later graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. In 2019, she continued her education and earned her Esthetician License working in the Kansas City area. She also worked at Village Cooperative of The Northland as their property manager, taking pride in organizing several events and working with the residents. In her spare time, Angela had a passion for the simpler things in life with crafting wreaths, hair bows and different decorations for all holidays and going to local craft shows. She also enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, singing karaoke, and providing spa treatments and facials as a skilled esthetician. Above all, her greatest pride and joy were her two sons, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Survivors include: her two sons, Kellan Flippin and Kamden Flippin both of Jamestown, MO; her parents, David and Sherry Hampton of California, MO; her significant partner, Steve Woodside of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Lance Hampton (Shelly) of California, MO and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bryan Hampton and grandparents, Mike and Ruby Martin and Bruce and Euda Hampton.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Salem Baptist Cemetery in California, MO.
