Anthony Ray White Jr.

Anthony Ray White Jr. known by all as "A.J." was born in Kansas City, MO on January 15, 1988 to Tondra Elbert and Darion Chambers.  A.J. was a breath of fresh air, always happy and smiling. A.J. loved dancing, and singing, even though he couldn't hold a note. 

He received the majority of his education in the Hickman Mills School District. At age 16 he decided to attend Job Corps in Excelsior Springs, MO. A.J. received his High School Diploma as well as his degree in Culinary Arts. Cooking was his passion; he was always in the kitchen creating something new. A vibrant spirit and smile that changed frowns into smiles. Anthony's love for his family and "tha kids" was unmatched. He was a role model for many. Our "midwife" and father figure who had his hand in raising a tribe.

 A.J. was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Beverly Elbert, and Apostle Dorothy Burnett; grandfather, John Smith; and his Fur Babies.

A.J. leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved mother, Tondra Elbert; father, Darion Chambers; his loving brother, Naman Smith; His heart and R.O.D. Dorothy Taylor. His pride and joy Ke'Yon Elber, favorite niece Da'Mya Taylor; his great nephew "D-man" Damari Taylor; His aunt Anette Jones whom he considered his second mother; God Momma Devonda Jones; his fave Marteila Tabron and his life partner Todd Winchell with whom he navigated through life with until his call home to Christ. The squad Cakeila, Shirley, Leonna, Tiera, Ciera and Sandra; his God sons RaVo'n and Ray'on and a host of family aunts, uncles, cousins and friend.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 19, 2024, visitation will be held from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. with services beginning at 11 A.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., KCMO 64127.
