Antresa Denise Evans

Antresa Denise Evans was born on September 20, 1964, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Mrs. Annie Evans.

Antresa received her education in the USD #500 school district and most recently worked for Catholic Charities. Known for her strong will, she overcame numerous challenges throughout her life. Though she never married, she was blessed with three beautiful children.

Antresa found joy in crocheting and cherished the time spent with her granddaughter, RaeAnna, imparting valuable lessons on motherhood. She was passionate about sharing her faith and personal experiences with visitors at the food pantry, often testifying about how “God brought her from a mighty long way.”

Antresa went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 17, 2024. Her father and sister, Aleta Evans, preceded her in death.

Antresa leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Shontay Evans (MN); son, Theodis Marshall Jr.; daughter, Tyanna Marshall; mother, Annie G. Boyd; sister, Angela Evans-Williams; brother, Andrew Evans Jr.; sister, Arshona Nelson, all of KCK; sister, Floydine (Michael) Fitzgerald (ATL); brother, Floyd Boyd (KCK); and brother, Frederick (Amber) Boyd (ATL). She also leaves behind a host of grandkids, great-grandkids, nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.

A Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 09, 2025, at Mount Carmel COGIC located at 2025 N. 12th Street Kansas City, Kansas 66104. The visitation will begin at 10:00am, the service will follow at 11:00am.
