Betty Cora Jackson

Betty Cora Jackson transitioned to Glory at the age of 73 on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eric Jackson and five siblings, Doris Maytubby, Elaine Hudson, Patricia Miller, Jeanetta Davis and Johnny Jackson. She was born October 28, 1949, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to the loving home of William and Laurene Jackson. She was the 8th child of 12  children and was baptized at an early age. 

Betty Cora graduated from Shawnee High School, Class of 1967.  She would later have a successful career with Ford Motor Company, from which she retired. Betty Cora enjoyed renovating & decorating her home along with watching Rachel Maddow on (MSNBC). She was blessed with two children, son, Eric Shawn Jackson, and daughter, Shelli Kowan Frelow. She left behind 3 beautiful grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She will forever remain in the treasured memories of her daughter, Kowan Frelow (Randy); siblings, Glenda Stewart (James), Willie Jackson (Lillian), Cecil Willis (Charles), Marilyn Jackson, and Paul Jackson; three grandchildren and a large family of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 8, 2023

Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M.

Services will begin at 11 A.M. at Swope Parkway Church of Christ.
