Brigitt Regina Hopkins-Whitehead was born October 29, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri to Katie L. Hopkins and Eldridge Jr. Ray.
Brigitt was educated in the Public School District of St. Louis, Missouri. She worked for Research Medical Center. Brigitt was an accomplished food server, babysitter, and hair braider.
Brigitt never married. However, she was blessed with nine beautiful children. She enjoyed her life to the fullest. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, singing, crossword puzzles, cooking, spending time with family/friends, and meeting new people.
Brigitt departed this life on Monday, September 5, 2022. Two daughters, Joanna Latrice Johnson, and Bridget Hopkins; father, Eldridge Jr. Ray; sister, Linda Ann Bullock; and three uncles, Ellis “Happy Jack” Hopkins, Robert Hopkins, and Jerome Bell all preceded her in death.
Brigitt leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Cathy Hopkins, Desiray Holman, Mary Byrd, and Teresa Hopkins; sons, Timothy Johnson, Donald Martin, and Darrell White; two step-kids, John Buford and Renee Buford; mother, Katie L. Hopkins; five sisters, Mary Davenport, Patricia Bullock, Willie Buford, Barbara Dixon, and Sally Ann Dixon; one brother, Billy Ray Dixon; grandmother, Susie Bell; six grandchildren, Ti’Annah Johnson, Timothy Johnson Jr., Kivon Hopkins, Kishon Hopkins, Romello Caldwell, and Jaydas Enloe; two great-grandkids, Aiden Hopkins and Jade Rhoads; and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
