Calvin Leon Bushnell Sr.

Calvin L. Bushnell Sr. was born on September 20, 1984, in Kansas City, MO, to Priscilla J. Gotow and Stanford Bushnell Sr.

Calvin was educated in Kansas City public schools but opted to attend Youth Build, where he successfully completed his GED and his apprenticeship in construction.

Calvin L. Bushnell Sr. met and stayed with his life partner, Rosemary Slaughter.

Calvin was blessed with three children. He enjoyed life, cooking, family, and his kids.

Calvin departed this life on January 1, 2025.

His parents, Rico L. Bushnell (son), and McKenzie Bushnell (brother) all preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Kaylee Slaughter (daughter), Calvin Bushnell Jr. (son), and Caiden Bushnell (son); his siblings: Cassandra Turner (sister), Sandra Smith (sister), and Stanford Bushnell Jr. (brother); his aunts: Chumblina Gotow, Glenda Bushnell, and Cherrie Nelson; his uncles: Cecil Gotow, Bobby Bushnell, and Donald Bushnell; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Golden Gate, 2800 E. 18th Street, Kansas City, MO 64127. The visitaiton will begin at 2:oopm, the service will follow immediately at 3:oo pm.
