Carl Anthony Nixon was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Ms. Ruthie Mae Nixon and Louis James Medzwin.
He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District finishing school at Van Horn High School in Independence Missouri. He was a certified Forklift operator and had Managerial experience. Carl departed
his life on February 6, 2023.
Carl was raised in KCMO and spent a lot of time as a young boy at the 43rd St Boys and Girls Club where he played the drums for the Marching Leopards/Cobras. Carl was athletic and enjoyed playing basketball and was
a Lifetime KC Chiefs fan (like his mom). As an adult Carl made many friends who became like family at the “BEACH”. Carl was the life of any party. His smile would light up all darkness. He loved all music and
would warm your heart with his beautiful singing voice. Carl was preceded in death by his mother, Ruthie Mae , his father Lewis
Medzwin, his maternal grandparents Bertha and Jewell Nixon, maternal great grand parents Hamp and Georgia Mullins, a brother Lewis Maurice James, a nephew Brendan Lavel, step son David Wilson, 4 aunts and 2 uncles.
Carl leaves to cherish his memory, Debbie Hill, long time companion, his children LaTifah Nixon, Keon Nixon, Cariesha Nixon, grand children Monterion Custard, Miri Custard, Seonna Ray-Nixon, siblings Elliott (Keisha) Nixon, Angela Valentine, Sandra Williams, Bertha Nixon, Tiara Lamb, and Darryl McCray (Sheila). Carl was blessed to have bonus children
Debra Wilson and Martino Bennett, and grand children David Wilson III, Dante Wilson, Davion Wilson, Darion Wilson and Michelle Wilson, a lifetime best friend Thomas Miller JR and a host of aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 16, 2023 at 24 Hour Faith Training Center 2605 Prospect Ave
Visitation will be from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M.
Services will begin at 11 A.M. Internment : Brooking Cemetery
