Carolyn J. Hill was born November 2, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Milton and Emma C. Pennington.
She was educated in the Kansas City MO School district in her youth, and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Business Administration Management from Park University in Parkville, MO.
She and her children spent a brief period of time living in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Carolyn’s husbands, Roy L. Taylor and William
H. Hill both preceded her in death. Her parents, one granddaughter, Crishanna Allen, and two siblings, Jimmy R. Pennington,
and Belinda F. Pennington also preceded her in death.
Carolyn, who was affectionately known as Carol, excepted Christ at a young age. Everyone who knew Carol knew her love for the
Lord and her dedication to serving Christ. She served as a Sunday school teacher at Second Missionary Baptist Church where she
was a proud member under the leadership of Pastor Donald Ford. Carolyn was a faithful and committed member of the church
for many years and spent a great deal of her time at church fellowshipping with other believers, volunteering, and serving the
Lord.
Carolyn was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her family. When she wasn’t teaching Sunday school, reading
her Bible, or listening to gospel music, you could find her shopping, attending family events, or spending time with her
grandchildren. Carol was known for her fashion sense which she passed down to her daughters.
Carolyn transitioned to glory on Monday, September 19, 2022.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ilona Allen (Terry), Shari Young, and William B Hill Naomi), Kayla Hill, all of
