Carolyn Johnson was born in Nuyaka, Oklahoma, November 27, 1947 to Willie and Florence Hayden.
Carolyn was educated through the Kansas City School District. She also worked and retired from the Kansas City School District in Food Services.
Carolyn met and married Shirley “Shep” Johnson in November 1991.
Carolyn accepted the Lord at a young age, and attended Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jesse Frazier.
Carolyn enjoyed watching Westerns and Comedies. Before she was diagnosed with Cancer, she looked forward to going on an annual girl’s trip with family as the (chaperone) heading to the Black Rodeo in Oklahoma. If the Rodeo was missed, it was Saint Louis here they come.
Carolyn departed this life on Friday, August 5, 2022. Her husband, Shirley “Shep” Johnson, father, Willie Hayden Jr., grandparents, two aunts, and three uncles preceded her in death.
Carolyn leave to cherish her memory three daughters, Tujauna Ross of Decatur, Georgia, Patrice Anderson of Kansas City, Mo, and Jamie Roland (Steve) of Raytown, Mo; one son, Jack Anderson of Kansas City, Mo; mother, Florence Hayden of Kansas City, Mo; three brothers, Larry Hayden of Kansas City, Mo, Jerry Hayden (JaNa) of Kansas City, Mo, and Tony Hayden (Loretha) of Raytown, Mo; two aunts, Willie Mae and Eva of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Martez Anderson (Latoya) of Raytown, Mo, Annissa Anderson-Spiller (Monte) of Independence, Mo, Janea Roberson of Columbus Ohio, and Celeste Robinson of Raytown, Mo; one special niece, Kizzy Allen (Torrence) of Raymore, Mo; one special nephew, Rogrick Hayden of Kansas City, MO; nine great-grandchildren of Kansas City, Mo; four dear friends, Gwen Roberts of Kansas City Mo, and The Ivanhoe Garfield Avenue neighbors, Betty Jackson, Greg Hill and Roger of Kansas City, Mo., and a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
