Charles E. Beal

Charles E. Beal, the eldest of six children, was born on March 14, 1948, in Haskell, Oklahoma, to Willie L. Beal and Bobby J. Wilson.

Charles attended public schools in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. From a young age, he demonstrated a passion for boxing, competing with the Pan America Boxing Club and the Gateway Boxing Club.

A diligent and dedicated worker, Charles built a career through a variety of roles. He worked at The Cigar Box, Crown Liquors, The City of Kansas City, Jasper’s Italian Restaurant, and The City Union Mission before retiring.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Willie L. Beal; his brother, Harold M.L. Beal; his son, Charles Taylor; and his grandson, Phoenix Kelley.

He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his pass-ing his loving mother, Bobby J. Wilson; his daughter, Carmen Rodeen; his granddaughter, C’toria Taylor; and his grandson, Charles Goodwin. He is also survived by his brothers, Larry Beal, Stepfran Beal, and Willie L. Beal, and his sisters, Gloria Beal, Alesia Beal Owens, and Angela Beal, all of Kansas City, Missouri. Charles will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Charles will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his love of boxing, and his devotion to family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday November 21, 2024, visitation will be held from 2 P.M. - 3 P.M. with services beginning at 3 P.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 2800 18th st., Kansas City, Missouri 64127.
