Charles Blake McGowan was born on January 2, 1952, in Nichols, Georgia, to Rita McGowan and John Mosby.
Blake, as we called him, was educated at Carver High School in Douglas, Georgia, where many friends knew him. He later worked for thirty years as a Moduled Home Fleet company manager.
Blake's life was a testament to his deep faith, calm spirit, and love for others. He touched countless lives with his style of wearing cowboy hats and boots, riding like a cowboy. He was also known to many as g-daddy.
Charles Blake McGowan departed this life on March 31, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his wife, Janice Grady McGowan, and six children: Trake, Lisa, Corey, Ken, Cayonna, and Tiko. Three siblings: Linda, Sterling, and Pocahontas. Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, other relatives, and friends who loved him deeply.
