Clayton Edward Stollenwerk was born on June 6, 1959, in Santa Clara, CA to Charles Edward and Carolyn Louise (Allen) Stollenwerk. He attended Santa Clara High School before deciding to join the United States Army at the age of 17. After his time in the Army, Clayton worked many of his years as an electrician and handy man and was always willing to lend a hand to those who needed work done. He was the happiest when he was playing his drums or watching the Kansas City Chiefs win. Clayton sadly departed this life on July 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles (Chuck) & Carolyn Stollenwerk, and his beloved brother, Clifford Stollenwerk. He is survived by his three children, Christina (Cipriano) Candillo, Daniel (Vanidee) Stollenwerk, and Steven (Dani) Stollenwerk. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren (and one on the way) Lucy Candillo, Olive Candillo, Harlan Candillo, Evan Stollenwerk, Brody Stollenwerk, and Hadley Stollenwerk. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Veronica Martinez Shireman. Clayton wished to be buried at the VA National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. A private ceremony with his family will be held there at a later date with military honors.
