Cleaster Harris, (68), was born August 17, 1954 to Cleveland Banks and Rosetta Banks in Kansas City, Missouri.
Cleaster affectionately called “Cleo” graduated from Paseo High School and later attended Penn Valley Community College graduating with an associate degree. After college Cleo worked independently as a painter, cook, machinist and later fulfilled her passion to help others, becoming a CNA before retiring in 2008.
Cleo accepted Christ at an early age. In 1980 she met the love of her life Gary Wyatt and they raised three children together.
Cleo was the life of the party! Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family. Everyone gathered wherever she was, especially when she cooked her favorite dish “Egg Foo Young”. Cleo’s love and affection touched many people, even reaching her great nieces and nephews. We will miss her beautiful smile igniting the room and her contagious laughter. The love she has
given will always fill our hearts and her presence here on earth will be deeply missed.
Cleo departed this life on Thursday December 8, 2022, at Center Point Medical Center surrounded by her family. Her parents, Cleveland and Rosetta Banks; stepfather, Alex White; brothers, Anthony Harris, Floyd Harris, Kenneth Harris; sister Roberta Norfleet, Donna Norfleet- Moore, Irakay Thomas; cousin, Dewy Banks; and niece, Patricia James, all preceded her in death.
Cleo leaves to cherish her memory, her lifelong companion Gary Wyatt; her three children, Alisha Lashuna Harris, Aisha Sade Harris, Gary Bernell Wyatt (Tiffany); her siblings, Brenda Clemons, Tony Banks, Lena Wright (Loran), Ernest Banks, Marvena Parker, Michael Norfleet Sr.; her seven grandchildren, Kenneth D.
