Darryl was born November 21, 1960, in Charleston, Missouri, to Neley Williams and Johnny Griffin. 

Darryl was educated in the Charleston, Missouri R-1school district, at 17 years old received his GED from Excelsior Springs Job Corp, Excelsior, Springs, Missouri. Darryl also received many certificates for his accomplishments. 

Darryl, started his spiritual life as a child, going to church with his aunt Clara Webester Greer in Wyat, Missouri at Faith Temple COGIC under the late Steve Betts Senior. Darryl continues going to church as he went along in life, but he attendant church with his sister Pearly Dixon, at New Birth Christian Outreach under Pastor Maurice Dupree. 

Darryl, worked for Clare Manor Nursing Home for 2 years, in the maintenance department as a floor tech. Darryl, also worked at the car wash on Linwood, detailing cars, and Fedora’ on the plaza. 

Darryl was blessed to have two sons, Darryl James Williams Jr. of Jefferson City, Missouri and Darrell Devon Williams of Popular Bluff, Missouri. Darryl children’s mother was Phyllis Williams, of Popular, Bluff Missouri where he meets her in the job Corp, in Excelsior, Springs. Missouri. Phyllis has preceded him in death. 

Darryl enjoyed going to Charleston, Missouri on Labor Day to be with his family and friends, Darryl loved to be around people, especially his family. Darryl, love to be with his niece Yolanda, and her husband Jason, he considered them as his kids, and they would always take him to their house to have fun and Work! 

Darryl, in his many hospital stays would go to the hospital and ask for his nurse which was his niece Christy Williams, who is a PCT in the emergency room at University Health, formally known as Truman Medical Center. Darryl would get the same nurse and they were close, he called him (Uncle Darryl), Darryl nurse was Geoffrey better known as (Nephew). 

Darryl departed this life on August 8, 2024, at the Parkview Nursing Facility in Kansas City, Missouri, where was under hospice care. Darryl was 63 years old. 

Darryl was preceded in death, by his father Johnny Griffin, mother Neley Williams, and his children mother Phyllis Williams. 

Darryl leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Darryl James Williams Jr. of Jefferson City, Missouri and Darrell Devon Williams of Popular Bluff, Missouri. Seven: sisters, Pearly Mae Dixion, Celia Ann Williams and Barbara Jean Walker of Kansas City, Missouri. Clara Mae McCleaey (Gary) of Jacksonville, Florida. Elibeth Ann Williams of St. Louis, Missouri. Johnnie Mae Lyons (Eddie) and Wanda Fay Victory (Vigil) of Charleston, Missouri. Three brothers, Willie B. Williams, and Marvin Lee Williams of Kansas City, Missouri, Antwan Level Williams of Charleston Missouri. Darryl has others brother and sisters, The Griffins, the Wares, and the Jones. Darryl has four grandchildren: Jakara Williams 18, Kobe Williams 16, Harmonee Williams 8, and Klay Williams 7, all in Popular, Bluff, Missouri. Darryl has many nieces, nephews, cousin and other relative.

Thank you, Loretta, for being with Darryl during this last mile of his journey, to help him have a quite departure from earth to eternity wait on the return of Jesus. This was a hard road for us for we have not passed this way before, but knowing someone cared, gave us Peace.
