Delores Jean Murray

Delores Jean Murray, aged 87, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Kansas City, MO. She was born on March 25, 1937 to Mary Hortense Murray and Marvin Fisher. Delores spent her life dedicated to nurturing and caring for others, a testament to her long career as a cook in various nursing homes across Kansas City.

Delores was a graduate of RT Cola High School and carried the spirit of her education throughout her life, constantly enriching the lives of those around her with love and dedication. She had a vibrant personality, often found strumming her guitar, enjoying a day out on the boat, fishing, camping, or indulging in her favorite game show, Jeopardy.

She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness, survived by her siblings Josephine, Albert, Donna, Carol, Vickie, Edward, Frederick, and Lisa. Delores was a loving mother to Carla, Trina, and Vincent, a beloved mother-in-law to Anne, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Marvin; her daughter, Dana; and siblings George, Odelia, Erna, Nora Mae, Bobby Joe, Arthur, Darlene and others.Delores's life was one of service and joy, and her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
