Dennis Patch

Dennis Gene Patch, 70, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born on March 1, 1955, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Leo Patch and Frances Patch (Branson). Dennis graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1973, and then went on to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Dennis married in 1977, and divorced in 1998.

Dennis had four children and four grandchildren. Dennis especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his best friend, Jimmy. He loved spending time outdoors playing golf, fishing, watching sports, driving around the lake, and especially hunting with his son and Jimmy. Dennis enjoyed going to Life.Church with his daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. He visited his two daughters and two grandchildren in Arizona as often as he could.

Dennis was a dedicated father and grandfather. Even though he sustained an injury at work, causing chronic pain and early retirement, he still did whatever he could to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Whether that be calling every week, attending their sporting events, recitals or just playing with them, he loved being a Dad and a Grandpa. Dennis‘ attention was always focused and undivided on the people he was with, especially his family.

Remaining to cherish Dennis’ memory are his daughter, Emilie (Lucas) Lettieri, two granddaughters Madeleine and Kennedy Lettieri. His son, Grant Chapin-Patch (Jenny Simmons). His daughter, Phoebe (Elliot) Wilson, his granddaughter, Brynnlie Wilson, and his grandson, Noah Wilson. His daughter, Mollie Chapin-Patch and her partner, Lexe Richardson. His brother, Donald Patch, and his sister, Deborah (Roger) Martin, along with many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding Dennis in death are his father, Leo Patch and his mother, Frances Patch (Branson).

His services will take place in Kansas City, on Friday, April 11th from 5-7pm at Life.Church East Kansas City (11100 E 43rd St, Kansas City, MO 64133). A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-6:00pm followed by a short service starting promptly at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in Dennis’ name be made to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.
