Diana Lee Watts

Diana Lee Watts was born May 11, 1963 in Kansas City, MO. passing away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 60 at Research Medical Center. Diana’s parents are Raymond Nunley Sr. and Anna Nunley. Diana Watts will be sadly missed by her two children Anna Nunley and Michael Nunley, as well as her eight grandchildren, one living brother Herman Johnson, sister Naomi Nunley along with other family and friends.

Diana Watts was a loving woman, she loved helping others even if it meant putting herself in situations. She loved her family dearly and did all she could to take care of everyone, especially her mother. She enjoyed shopping as well as being around friends and loved ones.

Her favorite color was purple, so every time you saw her she always wanted her nails done and for it to be purple no matter the shade. Then when winter came, she made sure to stay warm in her fluffy hats and gloves that not even her kids could steal, or convince her to take off. Diana enjoyed being with her grandchildren, and would light up every time they visited or stayed with her. Being a grandmother was one of the biggest highlights of her life, being with them and or receiving calls from them made her so happy.

Diana Watts was a hard working woman, no matter the weather if she was able, she was at work. It didn’t matter how she got there, bus, walked, or a ride she was there. She worked at the Marriott Hotel for MANY years, and enjoyed her friends who became family to her and the rest of the staff and friends who assisted with making a day at work a bit easier.

Diana Watts was preceded in death by her father Raymond Nunley Sr., step father Ray C Byron, Brother’s Raymond Nunley Jr., William Nunley, Ray C Nunley (Frankie) , Lon Nunley. Who all will continue to be truly missed.

The family would like to give great gratitude to the Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC  as well as Research Medical Center Staff.
