Donna Jo Roberson

Donna Jo Roberson was born on June 21, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ulysses and Pearlene Roberson. She was the youngest of four children.

Donna accepted Christ at an early age at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church.  She graduated from Central High School, Class of 1972. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service as an auditor; she retired after thirty-one years of service. She became a Real Estate Agent in 1987 and eventually opened her own Real Estate Brokerage called, “Donna Roberson Real Estate”.  She was an investor providing  affordable housing to Kansas City residents. She was also a CNA providing care for the elderly in various senior living     facilities in Kansas City.

Donna Loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved traveling around the country to different casinos with her sister, Teresa.

Donna married James Martin in 2018 and they resided in Independence, Missouri.

Donna departed this life on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Pearlene Roberson; maternal grandparents, Louie and Bessie Warden; paternal grandparents, Gene and Rosanne King Roberson; sisters, Karen Roberson, Patrice Roberson; nephews, Eugene Roberts and Keith Williams; and great-nephews, Terrion Carter and Alonzo Ashley Jr.

Donna leaves behind a loving family to continue her legacy, husband, James Martin; son, Rashid Junaid (Kameelah Junaid); daughters, Keisha Cleaver (Edward Booth Sr.),  Darneisha Cleaver (Kenjay Mcafee); sister, Teresa Williams; grandchildren, Edward Booth Jr, Keion Gilmore, Kemora McAfee, Kamoree Gilmore, Zayd Junaid, Ayah Junaid,   KenJay McAfee, Kayden Griffin, Kyleigh McAfee, Kyndall McAfee, Khayri Junaid and Kamry McAfee and a host of  nephews, nieces, cousins, other family, and friends.

Internment : Brooking Cemetery   Raytown, Missouri

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 4, 2023

Visitation will be held from 8 A.M. - 10 A.M.

Services will begin at 10 A.M. at Jamison Memorial Temple CME
