In loving memory of a remarkable man, we bid farewell to a cherished soul, who touched the lives of many.

Edward Dewayne Gibbs, 68, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed on February 14th, 2025. He was a pillar of strength and stability for his family. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Christina, for a lifetime of shared memories and unwavering devotion. After retiring from his career at Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) where he was a truck driver, he embraced the hermit life with excitement and open arms. 

Although Edward and Christina did not have children of their own, their nieces and nephews held a special place in their hearts. Edward embraced them as his own, nurturing them with love, guidance, and support, embodying the true essence of family. He went by many different names - depending on who you ask - Dewayne, Eddy, Ed, and Edpa.

 He cherished his role as Edpa for his great nephews and niece. Edward will be fondly remembered for his unwavering commitment to those he held dear. His presence brought light and joy to all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.As we mourn the loss of Edward, may we find solace in the beautiful memories he created and the love he shared.

 His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the love he bestowed upon his family.Rest in peace, Edward Dewayne Gibbs. You will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude.
