Ervis Reginald Wilson

Ervis Reginald Wilson affectionately called “Wilson” in the U.S and “Brother” in Jamaica, was born May 24, 1949, in Mason Hall, St. Mary, Jamaica to Linton Wilson and Lunetta Scott-Wilson.

He was educated in Jamaica. He left Jamaica for Chicago, Illinois and then later moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Wilson owned “Wilson Installation” for over 25 years.

In 2010, Wilson met Vonda and they married in June 2012. He enjoyed playing dominoes, music from all genres, laughing and telling jokes. He was very easy going and his laugh was infectious as well as distinctive.

Wison was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert L. Brown Sr., where he served as a member of the choir.

Wilson departed this life on Saturday, January 21, 2023. His parents, Linton & Lunetta Scott-Wilson;  sisters, Alma, Adline “Babs”; brothers, Irvin, and Hulet; and sons, Kenneth “Dirie”, and Ivan “Bobsie” all preceded him in death.

Wilson leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Vonda Wilson; children Claudine (Richard) Blake, Quisha Kelley, Greg (Bobbi) Jackson, Jr., Keione Owens, Robert  Wilson, Narda Wilson; children, Claudine (Richard) Blake, Quisha Kelley, Greg (Bobbi) Jackson, Jr., Keione Owens, Robert Wilson, and Narda Wilson; brother, Fitzroy Wilson; sisters, Joyce Mclean and Christine Johnson; sisters in-law, Nichelle Smith,  Krystal (Bryan) DePriest, and Nisa (Damian) Hayes; six grandchildren, DeAndre White, Shannon Blake, Marquan Kelley, Marquis Kelley, Kei’Mon and Kei’Oni Jackson; nieces, Martika Stewart, Devahne Henderson, Taylor Robinson, LeNasia Williams, Qia Johnson; nephews, Michael Stewart, Mark Stewart, Brandon Henderson, Deione Carter, Mekhi Blunt, and   Mayson Henderson; and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, other  relatives, and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023 at 3 P.M.
