Fred Lee Burt Sr.

Fred Lee Burt Sr. departed this life on November 23, 2024, at Saint Luke’s Hospice House. He was born on February 22, 1954, in Parkin, Arkansas to William Burt and Ernestine Harston.

Fred spent much of his early childhood in Cleveland, Ohio, before moving to Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 20. It was there that he met Carlotta Mosley, and the two were married shortly thereafter. Their 38-year marriage was blessed with four wonderful children. Fred shared his passion for music and his devotion to the Lord through preaching and singing in the church for many years. He also dedicated many years to the United States Postal Service, ultimately retiring in 2016. During his final days, Fred was surrounded by the love and support of his family, who remained by his side.

Fred was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, William Burt; and one sister, Vivian Russell.

He is survived by his four children, Fred (Tiffani), Carmelitta, Crystal (Isaiah), and Christopher; Six grandchildren, Shaianne, Fred III, Sionne, Jaylin, Darrion, and Myla; Siblings, James, Earnest, Paul, Nadine, Alice, and Tyrone. Fred is also survived by a host of loving relatives, including extended family and close friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 30, 2024, visitation will be from 11 A.M. - 12 P.M. with services beginning at 12 P.M. at Destiny Life Church 4207 Blue Ridge Cut off Kansas City, Mo
