Gary Adler, 79, of Grandview, MO, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Grandview. Gary Adler was born in Kansas City to Otto and Shirley Adler on August 16, 1945. He married Jan Adler in Kansas City, MO, at his father's home. He graduated from Calvary Bible College with a master's degree in biblical theology later in life, after retirement.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Once he returned home, he became a police officer, working in California, Oklahoma, and Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Jan Adler; sons Shaun Adler, Cannon Danikas-Adler, and Randy Danikas; and daughters Heather Adler and Lisa Slover.
Gary had eight grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed. A quote Gary would tell his son Cannon: “Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway”—John Wayne.
