Gerald Anthony (Deuce) Jones ll was born on January 28, 2002 to Shyrea Cumi Harris and Gerald Anthony Jones, Sr.
Deuce was educated in the Kansas City Kansas Public School District. He attended Welborn Elementary School, Northwest Middle School, and was a 2020 Graduate of Wyandotte High School. Deuce received a two year scholarship from the University Of
Iowa. He was selected as a starter for the University’s elite wrestling Team, due to the Covid pandemic that scholarship was delayed. Deuce was the quintessential sportsman. He was a member of the wrestling team at Wyandotte High School and received numerous first and second place ribbons.
He played on the Varsity Team at Northwest Middle School, and he also played on the Wyandotte High School Varsity Football team.
Deuce loves Jesus. He joined membership with the Greater Pentecostal Temple at the age of five, and was baptized in Jesus name. His life was sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Deuce was a faithful participant in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, the Youth Dance Ministry, as well as, the Men Of Worship Dance Ministry. He was always eager to assist in Church events and functions.
We loved Deuce’s smile, his good heart, and his friendly disposition. He never met a stranger and, oh, could that child talk. Deuce really loved his family. He would never leave a phone conversation nor would he leave your presence without saying, “I love you.” At the time of his passing, Deuce worked as a Logistics Operator.
Deuce departed this life on April 22, 2024, and was preceded in death by his Mother, Shyrea Cumi Harris; his Grandfather, Havis (Sunny) Harris; his Aunt, Kirea Nyri Harris; and his Uncle, Fredrick L. Glover.
