Henry Wilson Ford Sr.

Henry was born on August 10, 1946, in Oakland, California, to Sterling Ford and Alberta Ford McGee. He was educated at Carroll High School. Over the years, Henry held several jobs, with his greatest accomplishment being his 38-year career at Ford Motor Company. Henry enjoyed fishing and living his best, sometimes extravagant, life. He also loved to cook and barbeque. 

Henry departed this life on November 4, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling (date of passing unknown) and Alberta (d. 1964), as well as his siblings, Bill (date of passing unknown), Annie (d. 2019), Estelle (d. 2021), Mary (d. 2006), and Sunny (d. 2018). 

Henry leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Gwendolyn; his children, Debara (Londell), Barbara, Derrick (Meisha), LaDawn (Sherry), Henry “J.R.” Jr., Brittany (James), and Breora; 13 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and his best friends, Alex and Allen.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday November 12, 2024, visitation will be from 9A.M. - 10:30 A.M. with services beginning at 10:30 A.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st. Kansas City, Mo 64127

 Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
