Jadyn Gabrielle Alyse Bond

.Sergeant Jadyn Gabrielle Alyse Bond was born on August 23rd, 2003 in Overland Park, KS to John Bond and Maranda Neely-Bond. From a young age, she filled every space she entered with energy, laughter, and a fearless spirit. Jadyn was educated in the Kansas City, Kansas Public school district, ultimately receiving her high school diploma from Sumner Academy of Arts & Sciences.

A passionate athlete, Jadyn excelled in basketball, martial arts, softball, track, wrestling and even roller skating. Jadyn had a burning interest in music, teaching herself to play the guitar in her teenage years. In her high school years, she became a pioneer in female wrestling becoming the 1st novice champion and 1st female state qualifier at Sumner Academy.

In March of 2022, Jadyn proudly enlisted in the United States Army, quickly rising to the rank of Sergeant, while being stationed in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Her humor, determination, and boundless love for her family and friends defined her. Jadyn departed this life on April 10, 2025. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Estherlene Neely and paternal grandfather David Wilbourn.

Jadyn Bond aka JaJa leaves to cherish her memory; parents John and Maranda of Kansas City, Kansas; siblings Jasmyne Neely (Dallas, Texas) and Rian Neely-Bond (KCK); grandparents LeeRoy Neely (Linda Neely) of Kansas City, Kansas; Vernell Wilbourn (Jackson, TN), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and cherished loved ones.

Though her time was brief, Jadyn's impact was immeasurable. May we honor her by living boldly, loving deeply, and laughing often.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at New Bethel Church, 745 Walker Ave, Kansas City, KS 66101. The visitation will begin t 12:00pm. The service will follow at 1:00pm.
