Jamaine Arshell Acklin

Jamaine Arshell Acklin ( Jamie) was born to Lucy Ann Acklin and Joseph E Tillman on March 24,1962 in Kansas City, Mo. The lord sent for his angel on April 13,2024 with her family and friends by her bedside.

Jamie was baptized & received Christ at Maranatha Family Worship Center under the leadership of Bishop Lester C. Jones & Pastor & Annette Jones.

She received her formal education through the Kansas City, MO school district, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1981. Up until her illness Jamie was a caregiver for Midwest Home Health for over 10 years. Jamie was popular and always had a way with people. She was fun loving and comical. She loved her family and snacks (lol). Jamie was a also mother-figure & best friend to many of her nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Jamie's parents Lucy Ann Acklin & Jospeh E Tillman; grandparents Ollie & Hattie Brown, brother Ricky Acklin and sister Cynthia Renee Acklin all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory her only child, Gregory Eugene Johnson Jr.; Her Best friend, baby daddy, Brother Greogry Eugene Johnson Sr. (FROG) her words (lol). Five grandchildren, Arion Elaine Hewitt, Gregory Eugene Johnson III (Willisha), JaShaun Eugene Johnson, Jaylin Oshae' Johnson and their mother (Tameca Collins), Messiah Malik Johnson and his mother (Shalea Johnson), Two great-grand kids, Greg Johnson, and Aly'Cieonna Naomi Johnson. Two sisters, Charlesanne Johnson and Greta Treece Tillman, and 3 brothers Gaylon Acklin, Phillip Acklin and Wayne Cubit. Her favorite Aunt Verma Jean Cal, Vernon Miller who helped raise her son , special friend Anthony Johnson who was their until the end & a host of family, friends and paternal siblings. 

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday April 25, 2024 at 3 P.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., Kansas City, Mo 64127.
