James “LJ” Robertson was born August 24, 1997 in Kansas City, Missouri to Cynthia Abbott (Robertson) and James Robertson Sr. James “LJ” was educated at Northeast High School where he graduated with a high school diploma and moved to attend some college at Kansas City Kansas Community College. He worked for Sysco Kansas City. James “LJ” accomplished many things in life which included excelling in track, basketball, football and wrestling. He finalized and placed his passion in football playing with the well known team “KC Panthers.”
James “LJ” did not marry nor have any children. James “LJ” enjoyed playing video games, hanging with friends and family and practicing football in his spare time. He enjoyed watching his team the KC Chiefs play every Sunday. Each Sunday you would find him loaded with his gear (his favorite Jersey and Chiefs hat for good luck) and flag. James “LJ” helped take care of his elderly grandmother who resided in the home with him. He also cared for his nieces and nephew - Malachi, Maliyah, & Meilani in his spare time. James “LJ” was a gentle giant spending his days going to work and home if there was no football practice. He loved his family dearly and did everything to make their everyday lives easier. He prided himself in ensuring the safety and comfortability of his mother and sister, ultimately appointing himself “Big Dawg.”
James “LJ” departed this world on Saturday, October 1, 2022. His aunt, Rhonda Abbott, and uncle, John Robertson preceded him in death.
James “LJ” leaves to cherish his memory his parents, James Patrick Robertson Sr., and Cynthia Abbott (Robertson); siblings, Janae Elijah (Rodney Elijah,) JaNice Robertson, John & Johnisha Robinson; God Brother, Maurice Abbott; God Sister, Taliesha Abbott; grandparents; Cleta Marks and May Coleman; uncles, Herman Abbott, Edward Abbott, Jeffrey Abbott, and Troy Robertson; aunts, Kisha Ward, and Jackie Abbott; nephews, Malachi Wilson, Messiah Smith, King Smith, and Jerome Brown Jr.; nieces, Maliyah Wilson, Meilani Wilson, Amariye Hooker and Ava Robinson; as well as a host of cousins, other relatives, friends, and teammates.
