Jeffrey “Mark” Swigart, 60, of Sugar Creek, MO, died Saturday, June 8, 2024. Mark was born June 15, 1963, to Joyce Kleeshulte and John Swigart. He graduated from Peabody High School, Kansas in 1981 and married Connie Wilson on February 21, 1992, in Springfield, MO. Mark “never met a stranger” and made everyone feel welcome. He loved to tell stories (the “taller the tale” the better) and always tried to get a laugh out of you. He was also competitive in everything he did, which often lead to cooking competitions between brothers. He had a wonderful voice and loved to sing karaoke, along with golfing, bowling, and fishing. Mark had an uncanny ability to remember numbers, movie lines, and always had a one liner or two. He was a dedicated servant of Moose Lodge 10, joining on January 26, 2003, and becoming a member of the Moose Legion on September 12, 2007. Mark held memberships in KC Moose Lodge 10, Independence 2414, MOKAN 4, and Sho-Me 219 Moose Legions, and served in countless positions with KC Lodge 10. He was a member of the 50 Division of the Moose 25 Club and received the Fellowship Degree of Honor on September 17, 2011. Mark is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters: Nena (Garth) Kueck, and Dana (Sean) Hipsh; two brothers and one sister: Mike (Traci) Swigart, Jimmy Swigart, and Shelly Stockwell; four grandchildren: Jacob Kueck, Joshua Kueck, Solomon Hipsh, and Lilith Hipsh; great-grandson Luca Kueck; and numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many, many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial service for Mark is being held at Moose Lodge 10, 510 ½ N Sterling Avenue, Sugar Creek, MO on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1:00 pm.
