Jewel Nixon, born January 3, 1951, was the fifth child of fourteen born to Jewel, Sr., and Bertha Nixon in Kansas City, Kansas.
Jewell Jr., was educated in the Kansas City school district attending Lincoln High School before transferring to Paseo High School where he graduated. Jewell Jr., worked for the Kansas City State Office Building and Walkers Food, from which he retired.
Jews served his country while in the United States Army Reserves. He had a love for music, being self taught to play the piano, trumpet, guitar, and drums. He was an awesome member of the band “The Joint Session,” in the 70s.
Jewell Jr., was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Nixon; parents, Jewell Sr., and Bertha Nixon; five sisters, RuthyMae, Bettie, Julie, Georgia, and, Berkeley, Tony, Antoinnette; brother, David Matthew, Phillip, Montgomery, Brandon, Lavell, and Christopher Scroggins. grandparents, Hampton and Georgia Marlins; uncle, Troy (Lily); cousin, Michael, Maddox,
Jewel will be missed by his children, Jewel, the third, Charlenia Nixon, his many grandchildren, an ex wife, Diane, White, sisters, Alene, no Riva, Bobby, Renita, Charles, Winifred. Nixon, Tom, brothers, Charles, Richard Llewellyn, Nixon, at Selma Jones, Wanda Van Irving, of Kansas City, Kansas, and a host of nephews nieces cousins other relatives and friends.
