Joann (Collins) Casey

Joann (Collins) Casey, age 74, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, after fighting a battle with cancer. She was born September 5, 1950, in Siloam Springs, Missouri to Herlin "Slick" Collins and Vernia (Stubbs) Collins. Joann was the 2nd child of 7 siblings.

On October 27, 1972, Joann married Richard Casey, and they took up residence in Missouri. Joann worked in banking until her recent retirement.Joann is survived by her loving husband Richard, their son, Justin and his wife, Ellen. Her daughter Lanette (Heller) Poulin and husband Tony; stepdaughter Jackie Flanagan. Grandchildren; Matthew Doren, Ashley Smallwood and Evan Stoneking. Brothers; Robert and Jerry Collins and Eddie James; Sister's in law; Edith Miller and Mary Katherine Collins along with many beloved nieces and nephews.Joann was a devoted Kansas City Royals fan and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also took a great interest exploring family genealogy and attending annual family reunions.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Joyce Ellison; brothers; Herman and Bobby Collins and brothers-in-law Dale Miller and Jack Ellison.Keeping with her wishes, Joann was privately cremated.
