Jordan was born February 5, 1997 in Kansas City, Missouri to Vidal Barnett Sr. and Debra Barnett.
Jordan attended school in the Kansas City Public School District where he graduated from ACE (African- Centered College Preparatory Academy). During high school Jordan worked at Sun Fresh grocery store. After he graduated, he obtained his CDL and started his job at STA (Student Transportation of America).
Jordan loved spending time with family and friends. He also loved fishing and being outdoors. He loved cooking and barbecuing on the grill, and going to the gun range. He even spent Sunday mornings watching tv with his mother Debra and sister Cherri.
Jordan’s smile would light up the room and had a heart of gold. He always put others first, and helped when in need. You could always count on him being there when you were down, or just to have fun. He was the life of the party, always laughing, listening to old school music in his car. He was born with an old soul just like his father. Words cannot express just how much he will be missed. Jordan has left a void in everyone’s heart that can never be filled. Our only comfort is knowing that he is with his father again who he missed dearly.
Jordan departed this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Vidal L. Barnett Sr.; paternal grandparents, Torrell Huskey Sr. and Cherry Huskey; and maternal grandfathers, David Gonzales Sr., and Jim Turner;
He leaves to cherish his memory, Debra Gonzales-Barnett (mother); Vidal Barnett Jr.( brother); Cherri Barnett (sister); great-grandmothers, Jhonnie Mae Turner, and Constance Barnett; maternal and paternal grandparents, Fran Young, and Cedric and Carolyn Barnett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Jordan’s warm presence and kind spirit will be deeply missed. He was truly loved and cherished by all.
