Joyce Lynn Reece (Rawdon)

In loving memory of Joyce Lynn (Rawdon) Reece, age 79 who went to sleep in death on March 13th, 2025.

Joyce was a cherished wife, mother to 9 children and beloved “Grams” to 8 grandchildren.

Joyce was born April 26th, 1945 to Frederick and Nesa Rawdon in Concordia, Kansas. Her father was serving in the military and his career left her with fond memories of travelling to and living in various places such as Okinawa, Japan and also Germany. She continued that love of traveling throughout her life. She was a talented painter, a beautiful dancer, a skilled seamstress, and a patient teacher.

On August 24th, 1963, Joyce married the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Don Stephen Reece. They remained sweethearts, best friends and loving partners/parents for more than 61 years. Even as young newlyweds, they were determined to have a harmonious, happy family and so started their long dedication to Bible reading and study. Joyce would often be asked how they were able to have such a happy relationship for so long and she proudly would give all credit to their Bible study and the wise principles they had learned and applied. Joyce and Don both symbolized their dedication to their Heavenly Father, Jehovah, on April 16th, 1964. So, as their family grew, they kept it centered on Bible based principles and instilled the wonderful Paradise hope for the future that Jesus taught. That Bible-based hope runs deep within her family and they share her faith that they will one day be able to see her again, resurrected, to a paradise earth under God's Kingdom rule. (Revelation 21:3,4) There she will not have to fear the many illnesses she bravely faced in her life, nor have the pain. (Isaiah 33:24) Her family looks forward to her strong hugs and wise advice once again at that time. Until then, they cherish her memory and all the wisdom she shared over the years.

Her family will be spending time remembering her life and their Bible based hope on Saturday March 22nd, 2025
