Kathryn Nabors (Jackson)

Kathryn Nabors was born September 2, 1952, right here in Kansas City, Missouri, to Allie Lee Jackson and Coddy Garlyn. Kathryn went to high school at Lincoln Prep High School. After she graduated, she went on to become a nurse. As a nurse she worked at Clair Miner Nursing Home. As a young woman she met her husband, Bennie. Kathryn and Bennie are the parents of three boys: Bennie Jr, Terry & Andrew. As a mother of three boy, Kathryn worked hard to always make sure her family was taken care of while keeping her spunk and her jazzy personality. As one of the oldest girls of 13 children,

Kathryn helped raise all her younger siblings. She loved to do things like cook and dance while listening to some of her favorite hits such as “For the Good Times” or “Lay Your Head on My Pillow.” Kat was also a nature person; she enjoyed sitting outside and reading a good book by her favorite author Donald Goins.

Ms. Kathryn Nabors departed from this life on Oct 4, 2024. Kathryn leaves to cherish her memory, children: Bennie Jackson Jr and Andrew Nabors; her siblings: Crystal, Micheal, Levi, Andrey, Fabian, Marlo, Larry, Karen; all her beautiful grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and all of her other loved ones.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, visitation will be from 2 P.M. - 3 P.M. with services beginning at 3 P.M. at Golden Gate located at 2800 East 18th Street Kansas City, Missouri 64127.
