Kevin Andre Williams, was born on October 27, 1960, to John H. Williams and Verdell T. Williams in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the youngest child born to this union. Kevin was preceded in death by his infant brother, Donald E. Williams, his parents, John and Verdell Williams, his sisters, Juanita L. (Johnnie) Robinson and Verlois (Tootie) Peace. Kevin received his education in the Kansas City Missouri Public School system, graduating from Paseo High School in 1978. He worked several years in construction while in Kansas City prior to relocating to Newark, New Jersey. Kevin resided in New Jersey for approximately 30 years before returning to Kansas City almost 3 years ago.
His most recent job was working at Gates Bar-B-Q cleaning the restaurant overnight. Kevin was blessed with two children, Aaron K. Williams and Kayla V. Thomas Williams. Kevin was ALWAYS Kevin! He accepted Christ at an early age. As a youth, Kevin was adventurous and very mischievous.
He could be found playing baseball, riding his unicycle, minibike, motorcycle or finding hidden Christmas presents. He liked two-stepping and listening to old school R&B music where one of his favorite groups was Shalamar. Kevin enjoyed watching Texas Metal and even requested the nurses find this channel for him while in the hospital! Kevin loved his family and his friends. He was rough around the edges but possessed a heart of gold. After each conversation, he never missed an opportunity to say “I love you”, “I love you more” and “Take care”.
Kevin departed this life on July 28, 2024 at Saint Luke’s Hospice House. Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, his children Aaron K. Williams and Kayla V. Thomas Williams; five grandchildren, Ariana Williams, Aniyah Williams, Aaron Williams Jr, Avion Williams and Seichi Thomas Williams; siblings Madeline Johnson, Ronald E. Williams, Sharon K. Williams; nephews, Joe Johnson Jr, Sean K. Williams Sr. and Christopher Dukes; nieces, Kimberly Bruce, Angela Robinson, Dalana Johnson, Bridget Williams, Schelleta Williams; special cousins Beverly Pendelton, James D.
