Kizzie Louise Garrett was born November 14, 1942, in Topeka, Kansas to Eddie Williams Sr., and Ruby Whitebear.
Kizzie attended Hogan high school. She furthered her education at Rockhurst University, where she earned her degree in nursing.
Kizzy worked at Baptist Memorial for 15 years. Kizzy continued to work as a private duty nurse for Alliance Agency until she retired after 50 years of nursing.
Kizzy enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandkids. Kizzie loved being a mother as well. Kizzy was so loving and caring and such a hard worker. Her times of enjoyment we spent eating, playing at the casinos, and shopping. She loved to travel. Her favorite spot was Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Kizzie departed this life February 28, 2024. Her parents, Eddie Williams Sr., Ruby Whitebear; sister, Ethel Marie Whitebear; Brothers, Richard Whitebear, Michael Whitebear, Eddie Williams Jr.; grandsons, James, Jimmy Belton IV, Michael A. Garrett, and Linford Garrett Sr., Brother in law, Thomas, all preceded her in death.
Kizzy leaves behind four loving daughters, Monica Fields Johnson, (Ramon) Lynne Elizabeth Garrett, Lisa Diane (David Harley), Racheal Theresa Garrett. One brother, Paul Whitebear (Seattle), two sisters, Marinette Mays (Kansas City), Jeanette Whitebear (Los Angeles, California). Kizzy has 18 grandkids, a host of great, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, close friends, Sandy Jones, Aunt Mary, And Aunt Dee, who will miss her dearly.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 8, 2024, visitation will be from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. with services beginning at 11 A.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 east 18th st., KCMO 64127.
