Lee Roy Lackey Jr, age 76, peacefully passed away on January 24, 2025 surrounded by his immediate family. Lee was born to Lee R Lackey Sr. and Doris Jean Lackey on August 24, 1948 in Kansas City, MO. He married Debbie Chandler on December 28, 1979. He was an amazing father to a blended family, his, hers, theirs and ours. Lee was an Army Veteran and fought in the Vietnam War, he served our country from 1966-1970.
His legacy will forever live on through the countless lives he touched and the lessons he taught us. He was a servant of God, a role model to his family, church and community. Lee was a respected member at Full Gospel Assembly and served as a Deacon and Treasurer.
Lee is survived by his wife Debbie; his daughters: Tamela (Jewel) Groom, Stephanie Helton, Stacy (Felix) Chandler, Monica Reynolds, Kimberley (Robbie) Cobb, Erica (Geoff) Gibson; his son: Chad (Dana) Chandler; his grandchildren: Ashley M., Samantha, Ashley S., Breanna, Jason, MaNya, Joshua, Lillian, Moniqa, Mikey, Alexis, Brittany, Kelsey, Cayle, Caydon and Eliana: 16 great grandchildren; his siblings: Debbie Sterne, Carolyn (Bobby) Johnson, Rick (Debbie Kay) Lackey, Randy (Anita) Lackey & Linda Lackey; and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great-nephews.
Lee was proceded in death by his father, Lee R Lackey Sr, his dad, Delbert Lackey and mother, Doris Lackey; his mother in law, Margie Chandler; his brothers David Lackey and Larry Lackey; his great grandchild, Austyn Starr; and his great- nephew, Christian Lackey.
Services will be held February 1, 2025 at 11am Full Gospel Assembly 10537 E 6 th St, Independence MO 64053
Flower deliveries can be made Friday, January 31 st and Saturday February 1, 2025 by 10am.
