Linda Lou Floyd (Yardley)

Linda Lou Floyd passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 87, in Barnett, Mo.

Linda was born on December 31, 1936, to Herbert Hadley and Beatrice Lucille (Sayer) Yardley in Minatare, Nebraska. She is survived by a sister Wynona Pearman and her daughters Deborah Hieronymus and Robin Miller. As well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Lindle Guy, brother Charles Yardley and sister Betty Woody.

Linda married the love of her life Lindle Guy Floyd on February 16, 1954. Together they built a beautiful life raising their two daughters in Kansas City, Mo. until Lindle’s passing in November of 2020. Linda worked as a cosmetologist at Jones Store until her retirement. She served many clients, but her favorite clients were her grandchildren who have many fond memories of haircuts on the kitchen stool.

Linda loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Whether it was taking their annual trip to Worlds of Fun or playing cards at the kitchen table. She would drop everything to be there for them. She and Lindle also enjoyed many trips together. They visited Hawaii and took a cruise together.

A private memorial service will be held on October 19, 2024, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
