Lisa Leshea White was born on May 13, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Curtis and Katie White. Lisa graduated with her high school diploma from the Kansas City, Missouri School District. She pursued studies in the healthcare field and went on to work as a nutritionist at K.U. Medical Center for many years. Later, she found her true calling as a Home Health Care Aide, where she provided compassionate care and support to those in need.
Lisa eventually became an Advisor for individuals with disabilities at the Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD). Her heart was so open to others that she occasionally brought clients into her home to provide additional care, including D.J. and Sylvester. D.J. preceded her in death.
Lisa's profound empathy and her ability to connect with the underprivileged were hallmarks of her life. She had a special gift for extending love and support to those who needed it most. Lisa married Eugene Nobles, and together they had three children: Temeca White, Marcus White, and Derek White. Though Temeca was not Eugene’s biological child, he lovingly raised her as his own. Lisa and Eugene remained close friends and co-parents until her passing.
Lisa leaves behind six grandchildren, who brought her endless joy: Marcus White Jr., Zoe Hook, Derek White Jr., Dereion White, Xavier White, and Kehlani Jean White. Her life was a testament to selfless love, devotion, and patience. Lisa opened her heart to everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Curtis White, and her beloved nephew, D.J. She is survived by her loving mother, Katie Brown of Kansas City, Missouri; her devoted sisters: Lora White- Anderson, Kristian White, and Kayla Gore; and her uncles and aunt: Jimmy White (Diane), Damon White (Ruby), and Debbie White of Arizona. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Lisa's memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
