Mallory Ann Holmes was born on June 19th, 1989 in Kansas City, Missouri, to her parents Richard and Cheryl. Mallory's family moved to Columbia, Missouri where she lived and attended Hickman High School. Mallory loved to swim, and even earned her lifeguard's certificate from Hickman High School. Mallory held numerous jobs over the years, including Lifeguard, home health care, house cleaning, and nail art. Mallory loved watching movies, especially Beaches which she and her Mom watched together dozens of times over the years.
Mallory was blessed with four children; Adrian, 16, Ja'kobi, 10, Sa'mya, 7, and Sephton, 3. She enjoyed spending time at the park with her children and watching them laugh and swing. Mallory departed this life in the early hours of August 12, 2024, with her Mom by her side, and is suffering the ravages of cancer no more.
Several family members preceded her in death including her father, Richard Holmes, her beloved stepdad, Gary Owens, her Grandmothers Carol Campbell (a.k.a. Grandma Soup), Rose Johnson, and Mary Lou Stackhouse, several Uncles, Kenny Parsons, Tom Holmes, Joseph West, and Aunt Carol Dureka.
Mallory leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children, Mom and stepfather, Cheryl and Geoffrey Meister, her brother, Corey Holmes, and an uncle and several aunts. In addition, many cousins, as well as many lifelong friends will also have fond memories of fun times with Mallory.
Because we knew Mallory's heart and the choice she made to accept the Lord as her Savior, we have confidence that we will see her again in Heaven. For now, though, we miss you, Mallory, so so much!
