Mary Jane Tankersley

Mary Jane (Gaddy) Tankersley was born on October 6, 1927 in Alpena, Arkansas to Frank and Nell Gaddy. 

Mary was a gentle soul with a fierce prayer warrior  spirit, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. 

Mary loved Jesus and was active in prayer chains at  several churches over the years and witnessed Gods hand in motion all throughout her life. She loved people in her own way, often with a kind smile or kind word, and always a silent prayer. 

She was the introvert who paired very well with her extroverted husband of seventy-four years. Together  they had five children. 

Mary carried the message of hope and faith in her daily life. She listened without judgment, she loved unconditionally and prayed without ceasing for her entire family and beyond.

Mary Jane (Gaddy) Tankersley, Kansas City, Missouri passed peacefully on September 27, 2022 at her home at Wexford Place. She was 94 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank; mother, Nell; sisters, Ruth Wilk, and Kate Fischbach; brothers, Frank, and Gene; husband, Rocky, and son, Robert.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jamie Sue McAdams (John), James Alan Tankersley (Vicki), Holly Jean Eaton (Don), and Mary Michelle Derry (Don), along with many grandchildren.

 She will be greatly missed and forever loved!

Grave side services will be held on Wednesday October 5, 2022 at 1 P.M. at Floral Hills Cemetery.
