Mary E. Wagner of Independence, MO passed away December 11, 2024. Born December 27, 1948 to Frank and Betty (Brabant) Hawk of Defiance, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James B. Wagner, after 49 years of marriage. Mary is survived by her sisters Marjorie Eberly, Sylvia Soto, Jean (Bob) Simpson, Virginia (Paul) Cloud, her brother John T. (Debbie) Hawk and her two children James B (Juli) Wagner III and Janet Bishop as well as her only grandchild, Faith M. Wagner and niece and nephews.
Mary spent many years in Bryan, OH providing in-home daycare services. She also worked seasonal factory jobs and as housekeeping at Bryan Nursing Care Center. She continued her hard work during her years in Florida and on to Tennessee and, finally, in Missouri. Raised Catholic, she recently converted and was baptized as a member of the Latter
Day Saints Church Community. Her love of neighbor was felt by many at Heritage House in Independence. She will be greatly missed.
