Maurice Green Jr.

Maurice Green Sr. was born June 2, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri to Cynthia Green and George Harris.

Maurice was educated at Manual High School. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He worked at Hallmark Cards Training Center, Clymer Community Center, Burlington Northern Railroad Company and the Area Transportation Authority.

Maurice met and married Doris Miller and they were blessed with one male child. Maurice was also blessed with a bonus child, Derrick , he helped Doris raise.  

Maurice  enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending quality time with family and childhood friends. He loved to play basketball and listen to Jazz.

“Mo” as he was called by family and friends, departed this life on Thursday, December 15, 2022. His parents, Cynthia Green, and George Harris; sisters, Theresa Green, and Patricia Howell; and brother, Gary Green, all preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Doris Green; sons, Maurice Green Jr., and Derrick Miller; sister, Frances McGee; grandchildren, Dominic  Miller, Maurice Green III, D. J. Miller, Mariah Green, Amauriona Buckles, Kmauri Green, LaRuzzia Watson, and Grant Lang; great-grand children, Jaylen Miller, Leeandra Boyd 3, and Harper E. Lindsey; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
