Michelle Renae Gano, 55, of Junction City, KS passed away on January 8, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society - Olathe after a battle with cancer. She was born on July 9, 1967 in Topeka, KS to Theodore Gano and Carol (Rose) DeWalt.
Michelle was raised in Topeka, KS and Blue Rapids, KS and attended Valley Heights High School. She graduated with her GED. Her family remembers her love of animals starting at a young age. She maintained this love of animals throughout her life. She also cherished her faith and relationship with Jesus.
Michelle is preceded in death by her step-father, Bill DeWalt, and her sister, Terri Zeman.
She is survived by her mother, Carol DeWalt of Westmoreland, KS; son, Adam (Kelsie) Tryon of Olathe, KS; sisters, Margaret Wharry, of Yates Center, KS and Anne (Ben) Murrell of Gardner, KS; brother, Aron (Tiffany) DeWalt of Waterville, KS; 2 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
