Montague Kevin Ashline

Montague Kevin Ashline Jr. was born into love March 18th, 2006, to Sabrina Carr and Kevin Ashline. From the moment he entered this world he stole the hearts of his parents, big cousins, Aunties and Uncles.

Kevin, also known as KJ (Kevin Jr.), Lil Mearl, Monty, and Lil Kev. No matter what name you knew him by, there was no mistaking who he was. He was loving. He was kind. His smile and his laugh were truly a joy to be-hold.

Kevin loved being with family. He loved being a big brother and prided himself in making his sisters the best chocolate chip cookies they ever had. He was great with kids, and loved being the big cousin that would play and laugh with them and take them to the park. He was loved by all his cousins and looked at the cousins his age as his brothers and sisters and was fiercely loyal to each one. Family was everything to Kevin. He only wanted to make his family proud, and although he faced many challenges in life, he never stopped wanting to be the best for his family.

Kevin departed this life at 3:42pm on Monday, August 26th, 2024. Waiting to receive him at the Gates of Glory were his Father, Montague Kevin Ashline Sr, his paternal grandparents Louis Candler Jr. and Nancy Ashline, and his paternal aunt Jennifer Ashline.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memory daughter A’Mariona Hendren, Mother Sabrina Carr, brother and sisters D’Anthony, D’Mya and Sa’Niya, maternal grandmother Sylvia Carr, and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 at 3 P.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., KCMO 64127.
